US-based global broker Lockton has recruited former JLT Asia-Pacific CEO Warren Merritt to its Australian head office in Perth.

Mr Merritt has more than 30 years’ industry experience and was most recently based in Hong Kong, and began work in the Perth office today.

Lockton declined to release his title to insuranceNEWS.com.au but it says he will join the executive management team.

Mr Merritt says he is delighted to return to Australia. “This is a great opportunity for me to join a firm that is well positioned to become a dominant corporate broker.”

The new recruit is “an outstanding leader in the industry”, Lockton Australia CEO Adam Rhodes says.
