Local broker hails US marketing meet

Australian risk insurance marketing specialists attending the annual US Professional Insurance Marketing Association (PIMA) conference in Washington in July will find they have plenty to learn, according to Adelaide broker and web marketing specialist Mike Donnelly.

He says the conference, being held in Washington DC on July 15-18, concentrates on direct marketing but brings together the best insurance marketing experts in the US to discuss trends and issues.

“These people really know their stuff, and they’re well ahead of Australia in most areas of relationships, product development and distribution strategies,” Mr Donnelly told insuranceNEWS.com.au. “They are right on top of emerging trends and the best ways to capitalise on them.”

The topics to be covered at the conference include responsibility to the customer, new insurance products and how to market them, future customer bases, cross-channel strategies and customer loyalty.
