A series of professional development “conversations” will allow the next generation of industry leaders to meet some of Australia’s top insurance executives.

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance’s Generation i: Leaders of the Pack series is open to industry professionals aged 35 and younger.

Events in Sydney (October 2), Melbourne (October 7), Brisbane (October 14), Adelaide (October 23) and Perth (October 24) will allow small groups of young professionals to meet industry leaders for “open, frank and relaxed” conversations.

Gen i council chairman Catherine Pettitt says topics are open but will include career progression, skill building, how to overcome challenges and how to lead.

“This is about helping the next generation of insurance leaders learn, develop confidence and gain valuable advice on how to move forward in their insurance careers,” Ms Pettitt said.

Sixty industry leaders have agreed to participate in the program, including Guy Carpenter MD Paul Allison, QBE GM Jason Clarke and Munich Re GM Corporate Services Gordon Russell.

The workshops will be facilitated by a professional executive coach.
