The second annual Mansfield Awards event – established to recognise claims excellence in the Australian general insurance industry – is being held at the Establishment Ballroom in Sydney on Thursday from 6pm.

Tickets can still be purchased for The Mansfield Awards, founded by Insurance News Publisher Terry McMullan and LMI Group MD Allan Manning, via the website.

As was the case at last year’s inaugural event, which received an enthusiastic reception, the finalists are now known – but they will remain a secret until the event.

Mr McMullan says this year’s data has revealed “some extremely close results and quite a few surprises. It’s worth noting that ratings based on claims experiences are generally rising, and that’s being reflected in the closeness of some results.”

The awards recognise claims excellence in personal lines, SME property and casualty, corporate property and casualty, and specialty.

There is also an overall Gold Mansfield Award for the insurance company that scores the highest overall rating.

A large number of industry leaders and claims professionals have already booked to attend the event.

The 2018 awards are organised by Insurance News and LMI Group, and are made possible through the support of sponsors Insurance & Care NSW (icare) and Steadfast.
