Lambert to move to Global Transport

Austbrokers GM Operations and Strategic Development Glenn Lambert is moving to underwriting agency Global Transport & Automotive Insurance Solutions after five years with the broker group.

He will be deputy to Global MD Nick Zissis and will take over after about 12 months at the company.

“I’ve had an absolutely fabulous time at Austbrokers over the past five years, and the decision to leave was a very hard one to make,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au. “But this is a great opportunity for me.”

His date of departure from Austbrokers has not been finalised yet because “I want to make sure things continue on smoothly after my departure”.

Mr Lambert was responsible for the development of strategy, operations and business process improvement at Austbrokers.

Prior to joining the group in 2006 he worked at Allianz, which owns more than 50% of the Global Transport operation.

Austbrokers CEO Lach McKeough told insuranceNEWS.com.au he appreciates Mr Lambert’s decision to time his move to Global Transport to ensure minimum disruption at Austbrokers. “Glenn is a terrific bloke and a very good manager.”
