Knox named President of RIMS Australasia

The Risk and Insurance Management Society’s (RIMS) new Australasia chapter has named Colin Knox as President.

Mr Knox is the Risk & Assurance Director at Melbourne-based Treasury Wine Estates. He will lead a six-member board. Kate Beddoe, the Chief Risk Officer at New Zealand energy and communications company Vector, is the VP, and John Evans, the Group Insurance Manager at Wesfarmers, is Secretary.

Orica Risk Financing Group Manager Peter Sterry is Treasurer and Eamonn Cunningham, Westfield’s Chief Risk Officer, will be Chapter Delegate to the RIMS “House of Representatives”.

Robert Frost, the Group Risk Manager at Fletcher Building in New Zealand, fills the Chapter Director position.

US-based RIMS was founded in 1950 and has members in more than 60 countries. The Australasian chapter was launched in April and is based in Melbourne.
