King takes AIG broker and client management role
AIG has promoted Jared King to Head of Broker and Client Management Australasia.
Mr King joined the company in July last year as head of commercial lines, after leaving QBE.
Earlier this year he also became responsible for Australian distribution.
AIG has announced several appointments after reorganising its broker and client management department last month.
The Asia-Pacific business will be split into three zones: Asia, Japan and Australasia.
Robin Edgecliffe-Johnson has become Head of Broker and Client Management Asia, while Paul Atkinson has the same role for Japan.
Tony McHarg is now Head of Multinational Practice for Asia-Pacific, an expanded role with responsibility for all aspects of AIG’s multinational products.
He will manage the group’s multinational growth strategy with People’s Insurance Company of China, working closely with the company’s Beijing business consulting group.
Mr McHarg joined AIG in 2003 as GM southern region in Australia.
