Law firm Kennedys has appointed insurance and commercial litigation specialist Alexandra Bartlett as a partner in its insurance group in Sydney.

Formerly a director at Yeldham Price O'Brien Lusk (YPOL) for nine years, Ms Bartlett has more than 15 years’ experience in defending claims and advising on coverage and practises in financial lines, D&O and professional indemnity.

“Insurance is a global industry, and being part of a global firm means that my insurer clients will have access to top-quality international legal resources,” Ms Bartlett said, noting that Kennedys’ 15-strong team of partners includes seven women and eight men.

Kennedys’ insurance practice has more than doubled in size in five years and Ms Bartlett will work with the national financial lines team, led by managing partner Matt Andrews.

“Financial Lines is core to our insurance expertise and Alex’s appointment enables us to build on the work we are already doing with local and international clients,” Mr Andrews said.
