Job market bounces back
Financial services’ jobs are again showing significant growth, according to recruiting specialists Manpower Employment.
The recruiter says despite concerns over the impact of floods on the Australian economy, the national employment outlook for the second quarter remains steady.
Figures in the latest Australian market outlook survey forecasts a 28% jump in finance and insurance jobs for the April to June quarter.
Manpower says employers in the sector are anticipating a return to a “brisk” hiring pace.
A spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au the finance and insurance sector is showing a “fairly sustained” recovery from the global financial crisis.
Since reaching a prospective employment increase “low” of 7% during the height of the financial crunch in 2009, figures have steadily increased.
“When compared to the previous quarter, the outlook is considerably strong, and it is also improving moderately year over year.”
