JLT marches on with more senior appointments

JLT has appointed another two senior industry professionals – this time recruited from rival Marsh – in a continuation of its specialty business expansion.

Jonathan Frost and Andrew Kay will join the construction team as divisional managers in Sydney.

Mr Frost is currently National Manager, Property and Engineering at Marsh & McLennan and Mr Kay is Principal, Construction at Marsh.

Last week, JLT announced the appointment of four senior Aon executives, who will begin their new roles early next year.

JLT Specialty MD Andrew Barrowman says the latest appointments are part of a focus on growth in specialty areas and Mr Frost and Mr Kay will “have accountability for managing major clients”.

He says the acquisition of new skills and capabilities is part of JLT’s global and regional initiative to segment the corporate business area.

The 10 target sectors are construction, mining, energy, professional and executive services, manufacturing, transport and logistics, community and lifestyle, food and agricultural business, real estate and global services.

“We’ve segmented the corporate part of the business, so there’s a differentiation and development of products and services for those industries,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“These appointments are a further step in bolstering the level of knowledge, skills and experience at JLT that enables us to provide our clients with the best possible insurance broking services.”

Mr Frost and Mr Kay are expected to join JLT in October.
