IUMI to examine Hanjin Shipping crisis
The International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) will host a webinar update on the Hanjin Shipping bankruptcy.
Hanjin Shipping filed for bankruptcy in South Korea on August 31, leaving its container movement in limbo.
IUMI says the bankruptcy has caused turmoil in global sea freight, with uncertainty about the location and distribution of cargo.
During the webinar, Clyde & Co partner Mike Roderick will discuss positions to date, practical issues for insureds and potential policy coverage. The presentation is expected to last about 30-35 minutes, including time for questions and answers.
IUMI has scheduled two sessions, one starting at 9.30am Central European Summer Time tomorrow (6.30pm AEDT) and the other at 6pm CEST. Register here.
