Investment firm appoints Head of Insurance Strategy
Investment consulting firm Jana has appointed actuary Greg Wilkinson to the new role of Head of Insurance Strategy as it expands advisory services for the sector.
Impacts on insurers from the coronavirus include reduced investment returns from traditional defensive asset classes, such as fixed interest and cash, that support business activities.
“We have been advising the insurance market since 2004 and our current insurance clients have over $9 billion in assets under management,” Jana CEO Jim Lamborn said.
Mr Wilkinson joined Jana in 2014 and is currently a senior consultant and member of the Global Equities Research Team. His experience includes 16 years as a consulting actuary in the UK and Australia.
“Our insurance strategy will focus on enhancing our support for clients through investment strategy, asset allocation and manager selection,” he said.
Jana has $600 billion in total assets under advice, servicing sectors including insurers, superannuation funds, government bodies, universities and charities.
