Axa, RACV Insurance and Wesfarmers Insurance have won customer satisfaction awards following a survey of consumers by Roy Morgan Research.

RACV Insurance was named general insurer of the year, Axa the risk and life insurer of the year, and Wesfarmers Insurance the business insurer of the year.

Roy Morgan conducted the research over 35 industries, including banking, retailing, hotels, restaurants and cafes, asking customers their level of satisfaction, ranging from being completely satisfied to not at all satisfied.

The data was collected in 50,000 face-to-face interviews over a year.

Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine says this is the first of what will be an annual survey.
