Catholic Church Insurances is looking for a director with reinsurance experience – but the candidate must also have ties to the church.

The company, which is owned by the church and various Catholic bodies, says its ideal candidate will have “a connection with one or more Catholic institutions” as well as an understanding of the structure of the church and its institutions.

An advertisement says the Melbourne-based company’s eight non-executive directors receive fees “at a level below those paid to publicly listed or ‘for profit’ entities”.
