NRMA Insurance hosted a charity event at Blacktown’s Civic Plaza over the weekend and raised up to $100,000 for local community groups.

Passers-by were encouraged to high-five someone else in the community, with $5 donated to one of 15 organisations for each high-five, up to $100,000.

The event was part of the insurer’s Good ’Hoods program, which aims to create community connection and resilience.
