Insurance lawyers honour Enright at AGM
The Australian Insurance Law Association presented lawyer Ian Enright with the Insurance Law Prize at its AGM last week.
The annual award recognises a significant contribution to the insurance industry or insurance law.
Mr Enright conducted the review that led to the Insurance Council of Australia’s revised General Insurance Code of Practice.
Also at the meeting, David McKenna from WA-based Jarman McKenna was awarded life membership.
Susan Vidler stays as President, while board members Stephen Knight, Roger Sands and Allison Grice stepped down.
The association made a profit of more than $95,000 for the year to June 30, compared with a loss of $57,719 the previous year.
The group’s AGM and conference was held in Melbourne.
