Insurance Council adds climate adviser
The Insurance Council of Australia has taken on Aaron Finnegan as a climate change adviser.
Mr Finnegan will work with the council over the next six months, with a particular focus on net zero and resilience projects.
He has previously spent time at several financial services data firms in Britain, including Coalition Greenwich and Morningstar Europe subsidy Sustainalytics, where he was a senior associate in client relations.
“Around the world, we are experiencing the devastating effects of climate change compounding vulnerability,” Mr Finnegan wrote on LinkedIn.
“With extreme weather becoming more frequent and severe, ensuring communities are protected by affordable insurance is critical.”
