Institute wants papers for injury seminar
The Actuaries Institute is seeking papers for its Injury Schemes Seminar, which will focus on the complexity of supporting injured claimants at a time of low investment returns.
With several reviews of state workers’ compensation schemes either starting or completed in the past year, the seminar will consider reforms and issues such as scheme affordability and health outcomes.
The event – on the Gold Coast from November 10 to 12 – replaces the Accident Compensation Seminar, reflecting the changing focus of injury schemes from compensation payments to broader health outcomes.
