Insight reaches out to potential members

Insight Australia Group aims to increase its membership further three months after appointing Moira Kemp as its CEO.

Ms Kemp says she has visited members, stepped up communication and is undertaking a range of measures to attract more broker members as the group raises its profile and reputation.

“[Members] are happy to say that it is a great group to come to,” she told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

Insight has 58 members with total insurance revenues of about $350 million. It specialises in services for the smaller end of the broker market.

The group includes broking organisations and authorised representatives.

“These brokers have a clear understanding of their target consumer but are in need of improved underwriter support due to their size or geographic location,” Ms Kemp said.

Insight members maintain independent ownership of their accounts or agencies, while gaining help in areas including education, compliance, business plans and other advice.

Ms Kemp says increased membership will help the broker group enhance its benefits through economies of scale, but she has not set a target.

The membership drive comes amid continuing change in the broking industry as Steadfast prepares to list on the Australian Securities Exchange.
