Broker group Insight says it has no interest in acquiring equity in its members’ businesses.

“We believe that at this time our members want to continue to own their businesses and retain the level of autonomy this provides,” CEO Moira Kemp told the group’s annual general meeting last week.

“Insight should not be in the business of doing business, but supporting its members to do so. We take this carefully considered position so we are not in competition with our members.”

The meeting heard the group is working on initiatives to attract potential members and provide further benefits to current ones.
