Challenges from economic, social, environmental, demographic and technological change will come under the microscope at the Insurance Council of New Zealand conference.

Speakers including cyber security consultant David Shaw, demography expert Natalie Jackson of Waikato University and New Zealand Institute of Economic Research economist Shamubeel Eaqub will talk on the theme “changing risk”.

Tony Gallagher from Guy Carpenter in Sydney will give a global reinsurance overview and UK flood resilience expert Iain White, now with Waikato University, will join a session on climate change and managing natural hazards.

The conference will be at SkyCity Convention Centre in Auckland on November 5.
