ICNZ and ANZIIF scholarship opens for entries

The Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ)  and  Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance  (ANZIIF) are seeking submissions for this year’s scholarship program.

Applicants are to submit a 2500-word essay on the pandemic, focusing on what they think are the important lessons learned as well as how the public health crisis may change or benefit the general insurance industry in the future.

“We are proud to support the ongoing development of our industry, which is critical if we are to maintain pace with the ever-changing insurance needs of our customers and communities,” ICNZ CEO Tim Grafton said.

“This year’s topic, and its focus on the pandemic, really delves into understanding the sector and how it can continue to evolve and change.”

The winner will receive up to  $NZ10,000 ($9546)  in prize money  to attend an international conference or seminar program.

The scholarship is open to insurance professionals who are a direct employee of a member of the ICNZ, have permanent New Zealand residency, are under the age of 35 and submit original work.

Closing date for applications is September 30.

The winner may be presented with their award at the ANZIIF New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards this year or at another suitable event.
