Applications are open for the annual Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ) and Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance Scholarship.

The program recognises business and leadership potential among young members of the insurance industry. The winner receives $NZ10,000 ($9141) to attend an international industry event or leadership conference.

Applicants must be a direct employee of an ICNZ member, under 35 years old and a citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand. Applications close on October 31.

Entrants must submit at 2500-word essay on trust, confidence, consumer expectations and conduct and culture in the insurance industry.
