EML, Allianz and QBE are among the recipients of awards from Insurance & Care NSW (icare) that recognise outstanding performance in injury management, service delivery and broker engagement.

icare presented the Care and Service Excellence (CASE) awards at an event in Sydney last Thursday.

CEO Vivek Bhatia says this year’s winners “personify how scheme agents and brokers are making a positive difference to the outcomes of people at a vulnerable time in their lives”.

“I am extremely proud of their passion for pushing the boundaries of innovation in care and service excellence.”

The Nominal Insurer and Treasury Managed Fund award winners are:

• Outstanding new starter: Eryn Conrad (Allianz)
• Outstanding contribution by a team: Rebecca Neilson and Greg Waddington (Team Insight, EML)
• Contribution by an individual: Sam Bashford (QBE)
• Excellence and innovation in injury management: David Huxley (North Coast Safety Network, QBE)

The winner of the Brokers Award is:

• Excellence in improving client performance: JLT.

The winners of awards nominated by icare are:

• Services to icare workers insurance: Mark Rooney and Peter McCabe (QBE)
• Services to icare self insurance: Death & Disability Project Team (EML).
