icare picks six for graduate program

Six university graduates have been chosen from 650 candidates for this year’s Insurance & Care NSW (icare) graduate program.

The two-year rotational scheme gives graduates professional experience in diverse roles across the icare business, from finance through to customer experience design.

Graduates also take part in a tailored learning and leadership development program, featuring disciplines such as “active career management, self-awareness and human-centred design”.

Queensland University of Technology business and IT graduate Alisara Alcaide says she joined the program because icare’s values of empathy and respect align with her own.

“A lot of big corporations don’t think about how they can help and care for individual people, but icare does,” she said.

Since the program’s launch a year ago, icare has ranked third on Australia’s Top 75 Graduate Employers list.

This year’s intake is Annie Chen (Sydney), Brendan Ma (Perth), Piper Thatcher (Gold Coast), Brittney James (Goulburn), Casper Cheung (Sydney) and Ms Alcaide (Brisbane).

Applications for next year’s program open on March 19.
