The Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC) has appointed Samantha Lawrence as GM Governance and Compliance with effect from March 1.

Ms Lawrence’s last role was with icare where she was Chief of Staff to the CEO. Before that, she served as icare’s GM Inclusion and Diversity and held the role of Company Secretary.

She has more than 15 years’ experience in board secretary roles, including substantial experience supporting government boards. Her board secretary experience includes stints at the former WorkCover NSW’s Workers Compensation Insurance Fund and Safety, Return to Work and Support.

“[She] brings solid experience in board secretary roles with government organisations, including strategic governance, as well as insurance industry and government experience,” ARPC CEO Christopher Wallace said

“[She] will also add to our continuing focus on diversity and inclusion and championing these initiatives.”
