ICA boosts consumer and regulatory roles
The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has appointed Vicki Mullen as GM Consumer Relations and Market Development.
She will start on January 16, with the task of managing the Financial Ombudsman Service relationship, code of practice issues, consumer relations and various statutory classes of insurance.
Ms Mullen has worked with ICA before, but was most recently Senior Policy Manager responsible for life insurance and the Life Board Committee at the Financial Services Council.
The ICA job has been vacant for several months and has been redefined to take advantage of Ms Mullen’s 18 years’ experience in legal and public policy and regulatory affairs. She has previously worked for the Actuaries Institute and IAG.
ICA CEO Rob Whelan says her knowledge and experience will strengthen and complement ICA’s leadership team.
