IAG recruits long-tail claims manager
IAG has appointed Steve Marshall to the new role of EGM Long Tail Claims.
Mr Marshall will be responsible for compulsory third party (CTP), workers’ compensation and liability and professional risks within the operations division.
COO Mark Milliner, who began work at IAG two weeks ago, says Mr Marshall has a rich understanding of the insurance industry and a consistent record of running strong and sustainable businesses.
“I know his experience and collaborative approach will be invaluable in helping customers with their claims,” Mr Milliner said.
Before joining IAG Mr Marshall was an independent management consultant to blue-chip clients, specialising in the financial services sector, insurance and risk management.
Other previous roles include CEO of state captive insurer the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority and GM at Allianz, where he was responsible for Victorian and SA workers’ compensation schemes, SA CTP and Telstra Comcare.
He was also Suncorp national manager risk and investigations, and has worked with the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation, Recoveries Corp and Ernst & Young.
