IAG has appointed EGM Product and Pricing Steve Marshall as its new EGM Business Distribution.

He will take over on May 4 from EGM Consumer Distribution Amanda Whiting, who has been overseeing the role in an acting capacity for the past six months. She assumed the extra responsibility after the departure of Phuong Ly, an IAG spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

Mr Marshall will be responsible for IAG’s business products and strategic partnerships, including the broker network.

CEO Australia Division Mark Milliner says Mr Marshall “has a thorough understanding of the insurance value chain and has demonstrated strong leadership and implemented significant change in his time at IAG”.

“We’re committed to our broker partnerships and we have aspirations to grow this part of our business as well as explore ways to enhance our relationship with our partners, which he will play a key role in leading.”
