IAG leader wins Singapore scholarship
IAG claims executive Cheryl Chantry has secured a scholarship to attend a leadership program in Singapore.
The EGM Customer Delivery Claims, Personal Insurance is one of eight winners chosen by Chief Executive Women to attend executive education schemes overseas and in Australia.
The Negotiation Dynamics Program award acknowledges Ms Chantry’s role as a coach and mentor to other women at IAG.
The award allows Ms Chantry, who has previously worked for Suncorp, to attend the Negotiation Dynamics conference at the INSEAD Leading for Results program in Singapore later this year.
INSEAD is a graduate business school with campuses in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
She says she is excited by the opportunity. “I continue to be passionate about assisting young women with their career development and feel that balance can be achieved by influencing male champions within the professional community to support opportunities for women.
Chief Executive Women represents more than 300 women leaders from Australian corporate, public service, academic and non-profit sectors, with a focus on mentoring.
The eight scholarships are the first of 17 this year – worth $350,000 – that support women at critical junctures in their careers, from first management roles to top executive positions.
