IAG-owned Community Broker Network’s (CBN) second conference has examined ways to expand and stay relevant in a challenging business environment.

The conference theme was “grow”, with the Steadfast member striving to expand after consolidating three authorised representative (AR) networks under one brand.

CBN, part of IAG’s Australia Division, was formed last year after National Adviser Services acquired Westcourt General Insurance Brokers. It includes the former CGU AR network.

More than 230 members including authorised brokers, strategic partners and CBN staff attended the conference earlier this month.

Speakers included Steadfast EGM Nick Cook, LMI Group MD Allan Manning, Vero Distribution Partners Manager Bev Bradley and AIG SME and Portfolio Solutions Manager Peter Bailey.

The conference ended with a gala dinner. Members raised more than $20,000 through a charity auction to help drought-hit farming communities.
