IA helps Pink Silks race day raise $100,000
The Coffs Harbour Pink Silks Perpetual Trust has raised more than $100,000 from this year’s ladies’ race day, a charity event supported by the Insurance Advisernet Foundation.
The trust raises funds and awareness for breast cancer research and women’s health in the Coffs Coast region of northern NSW, through a range of events.
The Insurance Advisernet Foundation has been a major supporter for the past two years, providing financial and insurance assistance for the Pink Silks Ladies’ Race Day and the Pink Silks Golf Day.
Wet weather washed out last month’s golf competition, rescheduled for this Friday, but skies cleared for the seven-race program at the Coffs Harbour Racing Club.
“It was a great turnout for a fantastic cause,” Coffs Harbour Insurance Advisernet authorised representative Les Oxford said. “Everybody donned their finest pink outfits for the day.”
