Humour, imagination hold key to RDG Scholarship

The seventh annual Reinsurance Discussion Group Scholarship is open, with entrants urged to present ideas on innovation, and points given for originality, imagination and humour.

The scholarship, sponsored by Willis Re Australia, funds a week at the Willis Re Academy in Singapore from July 24-28.

The group says entrants should submit a picture representing innovation and a 150-word response discussing its impact on the insurance or reinsurance industry, now or in the future.

Entrants should have up to five years’ experience in the industry and be prepared to make a presentation at a discussion group session after attending the academy week.

The academy program consists of classes and team exercises, and covers subjects such as reinsurance principles and practices, products, analytics and modelling, and the global market.

Entries close on Friday June 23, and the winner will be announced shortly after.

Email entries to Rdginc.nsw@gmail.com with full name, company, contact number and the subject reference: RDG Scholarship 2017.
