Howden Insurance Brokers says Tony Cengic has joined as head of surety, based in Melbourne. 

He will lead the development and expansion of the intermediary group’s surety business, Howden says on LinkedIn. 

Mr Cengic has held leadership positions at organisations such as Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, GlaxoSmithKline, and most recently Subsea 7, an offshore energy services firm headquartered in London. 

Howden says his industry knowledge and strategic insight will be “invaluable” as the business continues to strengthen its specialty offerings. 

Mr Cengic says he is “genuinely excited" to be joining Howden to develop the surety business.
