HDI Global has appointed Johannes De Wet as its new Senior Engineering Underwriter for its WA operations. 

Mr De Wet will be based at HDI’s Perth office, where he will hold responsibilities for maintaining and growing the insurer’s engineering branch which covers the construction, machinery and renewable energy sectors. He holds eight years of underwriting experience, having served at the Perth branch of Mecon Insurance and CGU.  

HDI’s WA Underwriting Manager David Gibbs says the engineering sector forms “an exciting and critical part of our future strategy both locally and globally”.
