HDI Global Specialty has appointed Tami Sorensen as Southern Region Liability Manager and is expanding its western and southern states liability team in response to rapid growth in the markets. 

Ms Sorensen, who joined HDI in 2021 to establish the liability product in WA, will have responsibility for guiding the strategy across WA, SA, Victoria and Tasmania. 

HDI says she will be supported by Leah Nesbitt, who joins as Perth-based Assistant Underwriter, while Zubin Mathew has been promoted to Victoria Liability Manager, based in Melbourne, in a role that will see him continuing to expand the portfolio in Victoria, SA and Tasmania. 

Regional Underwriting Manager Liability and Cyber, Asia Pacific Alex Tarantino says Ms Sorensen has two decades experience and a track record of success. 

“As we continue to focus on the commercial middle market in addition to our corporate and multinational offering - namely by our industry leading position regarding International Programs - we are well positioned thanks to these positive changes to our Liability team,” Mr Tarantino said.
