Hazard research forum line-up announced

Natural Hazards Research Australia has revealed the program for its annual forum, to be held in Adelaide from June 18-20.

Among the speakers are National Emergency Management Agency co-ordinator-general Brendan Moon, conservation biologist and 2024 Young South Australian of the Year Tiahni Adamson and Deakin University senior research fellow Mark Duckworth.

Nanyang Technological University associate professor Susanna Jenkins will present on recent research in Singapore, and New Zealand’s Resilience Challenge director Richard Smith will discuss work by his study team.

NHRA says the forum, at the National Wine Centre, will also include a panel session on lessons learnt from Cyclone Alfred.

Last year’s event drew more than 300 delegates from more than 100 organisations.
