Austbrokers members in Victoria and Tasmania have voted GT Insurance as winner of last year’s Sue Ronai Memorial Excellence in Claims Award.

The 2015 winner Chubb was runner-up, and CGU came third.

Voters were asked 13 questions on claims management and settlements. All major insurers and underwriting agencies are eligible for the award.

GT Insurance State Manager Victoria Andrew Coad says the heavy motor specialist is honoured to receive the award.

“We firmly believe the quality of claims and recovery management ultimately defines the service we provide to our brokers and customers at a time when they need us most,” he said.

The Sue Ronai award was originally judged by AB Phillips, but is now decided by all Austbrokers members in Victoria and Tasmania.
