QBE European Markets MD Doron Grossman will return to Sydney in September to take up the new role of QBE Executive GM Affiliated Businesses.

Mr Grossman is best remembered as the general manager who helped establish major broker cluster group IBNA. He joined QBE Europe in 2000 as the Deputy GM for Hungarian operations before being promoted to GM.

He went on to run QBE’s Central European operations, was promoted to MD European Markets in late 2006 and joined the board of QBE Insurance (Europe) in mid-2007.

Following a restructure of European operations earlier this year Mr Grossman ceased being a member of the Board.

“Doron has been a great ambassador for QBE European Operations and has played a key role in our expansion over the past decade, as GM for Hungary and then Central and Eastern Europe, and most recently as MD for European Markets,” European Operations CEO Steven Burns said.
