Gribbin steps back into IBNA chairmanship
Melbourne broker Gary Gribbin has become the new chairman of Insurance Brokers Network Australia (IBNA), replacing Trevor Lofts.
Mr Gribbin was elected last Friday by the IBNA board. He was also chairman of IBNA from 2002 to 2004.
“It was time for a change as the board had decided it needed a new chairman,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
“It is business as normal and IBNA intends to continue to build on its strengths and advance the wealth of our members.”
Mr Gribbin says his board will work with Austbrokers to enhance the Austbrokers & IBNA Member Services (AIMS) joint venture.
He says another goal is to grow the membership of IBNA, which currently stands at about 80.
“We are looking to attract more members, but any growth will be with like-minded brokers,” Mr Gribbin said.
“It will be organic growth over a period of time, and not just building numbers.”
