Several insurers rank among the best workplaces for graduates in their first jobs.

NSW state insurer icare leads the industry, taking 30th spot in a ”top 75” compiled by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers.

Allianz Australia ranks 44, followed by QBE at 64 and Suncorp at 66.

The rankings are based on feedback from graduates who have worked for one year with an organisation.

“We know our graduates bring unique experiences and capabilities to our business and play a key role in meeting the evolving needs of our partners and customers, fostering innovation and creating a diverse and future-ready workforce,” QBE Chief Human Resources Officer Eleanor Debelle said.

“In recognition of this, and as a key part of our commitment to maintaining an exceptional employee experience for all QBE employees, enhancing the graduate program… has been a key priority for us over the past 18 months.

“This recognition is fantastic affirmation of what’s been achieved in that time.”
