GIO uses YouTube clips to explain NSW workers’ comp
GIO has produced a series of online videos to teach NSW small businesses about the importance of workers’ compensation insurance.
Jason Allison, Chief of Workers’ Compensation Portfolio for parent Suncorp Commercial Insurance, says many business owners know they need insurance, but they fail to maximise the value of their cover.
“GIO sees these videos as a valuable resource for customers, brokers and insurance providers alike,” he said.
The YouTube clips explain how the state workers’ compensation scheme works, how claims are handled and the importance of strong claims management and prompt return-to-work times.
Following reforms in June, premiums are no longer directly affected by claims history in 95% of the state’s businesses.
But the 13-week return-to-work discount means there is still an incentive.
