GIO Workers Compensation will host a webinar examining effective ways to improve return-to-work outcomes.

The July 10 session will feature occupational physician Mary Wyatt, who has more than 20 years’ experience in return-to-work management, and will look at employer engagement, supportive workplace practices and systems to reduce claim costs.

Suncorp-owned GIO says brokers have a key role influencing clients to promote workers’ recoveries.

“The presentation emphasises the pivotal role of employer responses in the success rates of return to work, particularly in the early identification and management of psychosocial barriers,” it says.
