Meridian Lawyers has appointed Gerard Milne to a newly created CEO position that will focus on the strategic direction of the firm.

MD Paul Baker says the firm says it has grown rapidly since its inception in 2004 and is looking at areas for further growth.

Mr Milne was most recently national executive officer at Sparke Helmore Lawyers, and has more than 20 years’ commercial experience across professional services firms in Australian and international markets.

The appointment is effective from September 2.
