Third-party claims administrator Gallagher Bassett has promoted Peter Tomkins to GM Specialty Markets.

He replaces Damien Gilhooley, who moves to GM Catastrophe Response.

Mr Tomkins joined Gallagher Bassett in February last year as business development manager.

Before that he was divisional director at broker BMS Group and head of facultative at Aon Benfield Australia and New Zealand.

Australia MD John McNamara says Mr Tomkins will provide “outstanding leadership”.
