Fusion appoints three M&A senior executives

Underwriting agency Fusion has appointed senior executives in Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore as it accelerates a global expansion in the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) insurance market.

Danielle Eliatamby, previously a lawyer in Herbert Smith Freehills’ corporate M&A practice group, will join Fusion in Sydney and have responsibility for driving growth across Australia and New Zealand as well as in Asia.

Lillian Chau joins in Hong Kong after previous experience as a corporate M&A lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright in Hong Kong and Melbourne, while Sabrina Chia will spearhead Fusion’s consolidation of its Singapore hub and add to the company’s regional growth.

The executives will lead the underwriting of M&A deals across the Asia Pacific region and facilitate the issuance of policies to buyers or sellers across a broad range of industries, the company says.

“Our new colleagues are extremely well-regarded in their fields and bring with them strong expertise and a keen understanding of transactions from an underwriting perspective across their respective markets,” Fusion Managing Partner Katherine Simmonds said.

Fusion, part of the Pop Holdings Group, was established in 2018 and provides cover mainly aimed at SMEs.
