Funeral to be held for Ebix leader Leon d’Apice
A funeral service for Leon d’Apice will be held in Sydney on Thursday.
Mr d’Apice, who was MD at Ebix Australia for three decades, died on September 28 aged 68.
“It is with profound sadness that Ebix Australia announces the untimely departure of our leader and mentor,” the company said.
“Thank you, Leon, for everything you have made of Ebix. It truly is a life’s work of achievement. You will be missed.”
Mr d’Apice’s part-owned company Complete Broking Systems was acquired by Ebix in 1996. Ebix went on to buy Telstra’s Sunrise Exchange transaction platform.
He leaves wife Catherine, sons Marc and Jason, and grandsons Joshua and William.
The funeral will be in the Palm Chapel at Macquarie Park Crematorium in North Ryde at 10.15am.
