FSU lobbies IAG for staff pay rises
The Finance Sector Union (FSU) is lobbying senior IAG executives to share the spoils of its recent results with employees.
The union says that IAG staff helped the company to a 175% profit rise in 2010/11 and they should be rewarded in the company’s next enterprise agreement.
“FSU members at IAG have given very strong feedback through member surveys that they want IAG to ensure that all staff are able to keep up with cost of living pressures,” a union statement says.
IAG staff have “faced increased workloads and challenges with the spate of natural disasters in Australia and New Zealand, and have worked hard towards the financial success of the business,” the FSU said.
