Mourners from across the insurance industry and the local community attended the funeral in Port Macquarie this morning of Kym Burley, who was well known in the industry as one of the major influences behind the growth of Pacific Premium Funding.

She died in her sleep on March 20 at their home near Port Macquarie. She was 53.

Mr Burley told insuranceNEWS.com.au he has been amazed by the number of sympathy messages he has received from “people all around the country who knew and loved Kym”.

“While she was so well known in the industry through her work with Pacific Premium Funding, you wouldn’t believe the influence she has had on the community here, and how many people she has touched.”
