FPA launches workshops as AFA enjoys roadshow success
The Financial Planning Association will hold a series of nationwide training workshops during its 20th anniversary celebrations.
The “integrating trust into your advice process” workshop will feature speakers from The Tax Institute, while Aged Care Steps will hold a session about advising on aged care. “Planning for death in self-managed super funds” will be presented by Cavendish.
The workshops replace this year’s national conference and take place in Brisbane (November 9), Melbourne (November 16), Adelaide (November 23), Sydney (December 7) and Perth (December 13).
Meanwhile, the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) says 1580 delegates attended its recent national roadshow.
Advisers made up 71% of attendees, while the rest were business/practice development managers and other professionals. Most (61%) were under the age of 50, with 42% under the age of 40.
The most popular session, with a feedback rating of 89%, was a panel featuring presentations from last year’s AFA award winners – adviser of the year Troy MacMillan, female excellence in advice-winner Olivia Maragna and rising star Mark Rattigan.
